Even though Siena is widely known for Chef Harvey’s critically acclaimed authentic Italian cooking, many of our guests also call the restaurant “one of the best places in Austin for steaks.”
And there’s a good reason for that.
Even though Chef Harvey studied Italian cooking in Piedmont in northern Italy, his first job in the country was in one of Tuscany’s most famous restaurants, Il Pino, where grilled house-aged meats were amongthe kitchen’s specialities.
Tuscans eat more steak and chops than in any other region of Italy and that’s because they raise the country’s best cattle there.
You can take the boy out of Tuscany but you can’t take the Tuscany out of the boy!
