Osso buco, an Italian winter classic (NOW AVAILABLE at Siena!)

Please call (512) 349-7667 to reserve your table now!

It’s one of northern Italy’s most celebrated winter dishes: osso buco (literally, the center of the bone).

To create this iconic recipe, Chef Harvey and his kitchen staff slowly braise a beef shank in tomato, stock, and wine for hours and hours until the rich marrow in the bone’s center becomes liquid. They then serve the shank atop creamy slow-cooked polenta that’s been made even more flavorful with freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano and clarified butter.

Can you think of a better cold weather dish?

Chef Harvey has put it on the menu for a limited time at Siena. Come get it while the dish is hot and the weather is cold!
