Raymond Duncan, Silver Oak founder and one of the wine worlds’s most beloved figures, has died

The entire staff at Siena Ristorante Toscana was sad to learn that Raymond Twomey Duncan, Silver Oak and Twomey founder and one of the wine world’s most beloved figures, died at his home in Denver on Friday, October 9. He was 84 years old.

Since Siena opened more than fifteen years ago, Silver Oak has been one of our favorite wines here and we have hosted a number of dinners celebrating both the Silver Oak and Twomey estates, including one earlier this month.

Last year, Mr. Duncan’s grandson Matt joined us for the event.

Today, our thoughts and our prayers are with the Duncan family.
