Save the date: SILVER OAK DINNER September 15

We are proud to announce that Siena Ristorante Toscana will be featuring the wines of Silver Oak for its first wine dinner of the fall season on Tuesday, September 15.

At our last Silver Oak dinner, Siena owner Stan Adams shared the story of the “best bottle of wine he’d ever had.” A cellar-aged bottle of Silver Oak, of course!

Registration hasn’t been opened for this event (which is sure to sell out). But we hope to be able to start taking reservations as early as next week.

So please stay tuned!

A note on the Silver Oak winery:

Since its first vintage in 1972, the Silver Oak Winery in Oakville, California, has set the benchmark for “California cult Cabernet,” making its wines from top-sourced Cabernet Sauvignon and aging it in barriques, small wooden casks, made from American oak.

One of the things that a lot of folks don’t know about Silver Oak is that it is still run by the Duncan family, who founded it and planted its first vintage in 1972.

So many of California’s most famous wineries have been bought up by big business luxury products groups. But Silver Oak, despite its enormous success and lucrative business as one of the top-selling California Cabs of all time, has always remained in the hands of the Duncans.
