Morning in Siena… Italy’s beauty continues to inspire us.

A good friend of Siena Ristorante Toscana recently shared this photo with us.

It was taken at daybreak on the south side of the medieval city, near Porta Romana, the “Roman Gate” that leads to the city’s historic center.

Italy and its natural beauty continue to inspire us in our approach to authentic Italian cuisine served in a classic Tuscan farmhouse setting.

Not far from Siena, in the hills of Chianti Classico and Brunello Montalcino, grape growers and winemakers are gearing up for the final months of the vintage.

There’s a heat wave going on right now in Europe and Italy and many are concerned that this harvest could prove to be a challenging one.

Back here in Austin at Siena Ristorante Toscana, we’ll be following along and posting updates and photos as they come in.

Thanks for being here and stay tuned!
