Dear Mr. Adams, I think your Veterans promotion was honorable and generous. My wife and I did not appear because of another commitment, but the good will you have engendered in our household will be repaid with our patronage. I was fortunate to have served between Korea and Vietnam so I do not feel I did more than just meet my commitment when called upon. However I especially honor those who served and were in harm’s way.
