Winter Vegetables for Winter at Siena…

As a long-time patron of Siena, I want to say how much I love the food, the service, the recipes!!!! With all of that “WONDERFULNESS”, I’m also very sad the caprese salad is now off the menu. Any thoughts of bringing it back????

Hi Jim, Thank you for the high praise and your patronage of Siena! To me there is nothing more valuable than my customers opinions. I too love the Caprese salad but, in keeping with the goal of providing our customers with a true Tuscan dining experience I rotate seasonal ingredients on and off my menu. As you know it’s hard to beat the flavor of a sun ripened fresh tomato, but during the winter months I have found that even though tomatoes are available, the quality and flavor is greatly diminished. So watch for it on our website and I assure you it will be back on the menu right after our short Texas winter! See you at Siena… Ciao! Chef Harvey
